Keep using x42 or get a new model?

I am having a difficult time deciding on what I should get or keep.

I currently have a Turtle Beach x42 headset that has the following:

What I hate about it is that it requires batteries and can only be used for Xbox, and also the sound is starting to get jacked up.

I am considering Turrle Beach XO Four or XO Seven, which I love the fact that it can be used for just about anything you want, Xbox, iPhone, Playstation, Computer, and it requires no batteries and is wireless.

The bad thing about those is that there is no function that allows me to hear what I'm saying in the mic, and that would cause me to be louder and also I would get confused on what I was saying because I wouldn't be hearing my own words.

Right now, I'm leaning towards just keeping the x42's because of the hear my own voice thing is something very important to me, but it would be cool to have a multi useful headset too.

    Thoughts?

I was under the impression that all headsets designed for the Xbone didn't have the feature to hear your voice.

I'm leaning towards Turtle Beach Stealth 500X now as they give surround sound..

If you like what you have on 360, just buy an adapter.

I have the x32 granted it needs batteries but it is wireless, I can hear my own voice, and I use it for my Xbox 360 and my Xbox One. What I so though is I hook up the red and white audio cords to the audio output on my tv. That way I can use HDMI on both 360 and One. That is just my 2 cents and what works for me.
